400 George Street

Project Overview

400 George Street is a significant CBD site comprising of a 34-storey commercial tower, retail podium and retail laneway named after the historical ‘Sydney Arcade’. Originally designed by Crone Partners, the building was completed in 1988 and features retail frontage to Pitt Street and King Street.

EVC was appointed to project manage the conversion of existing small retail tenancies and a basement storage facility into a new premium-grade end of trip facility.

The key features of this conversion included:

  • A male locker room complete with eight showers and three WCs
  • A female locker room complete with eight showers and three WCs
  • 180 lockers located within the end of trip facility
  • 119 bike racks and bike repair facilities
  • Premium facilities such as towel facilities, drying cupboards and water chillers
  • Themed end of trip graphics
