Grosvenor Place

Project Overview

This iconic office building is located at 225 George Street, Sydney, where the gravitas of the Sydney CBD office precinct meets the excitement of the historic Rocks area and Circular Quay. The tower boasts priceless views to the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House.

Grosvenor Place was designed in the 1980′s by Harry Seidler, the world-renowned architect. It is an imposing structure with some 80,000m² of office space.

EVC was appointed to project manage the upgrade of three existing retail tenancies, and the creation of two new retail shells by activating the plaza forecourt.

The key feature of this project included:

  • The development of multiple design options for the northern forecourt of this iconic Sydney building
  • The creation of five new retail tenancies
  • The design and installation of new base building infrastructure to service the new and refurbished tenancies including:
    • A new retail passenger lift
    • A new retail goods lift
    • A full-time base building condenser water system to service the retail space
    • Enhanced power, water and gas facilities
    • A new retail terrace with views to Sydney Harbour
