Located in Canberra, 16-18 Mort Street (previously known as Times Square) provides 13,000m² of commercial office space over six expansive tower floors plus 1,200m² of commercial/retail space on the ground level. The circular corner on Mort and Cooyong Streets provides a feature to each floor including the top floor entertainment balcony.
When EVC were appointed as project managers, the initial objective was to prove that the building could be repositioned as a PCA A-grade, 4.5 star NABERS landmark, and to rapidly market and re-tenant the floors. The main elements in the concept designs were the modernisation of the street presence, represented by the façade and building entry, and the creation of a spacious entry and foyer area.
