This iconic office building is located at 225 George Street, Sydney, where the gravitas of the Sydney CBD office precinct meets the excitement of the historic Rocks area and Circular Quay. The tower boasts priceless views to the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House.
Grosvenor Place was designed in the 1980′s by Harry Seidler, the world-renowned architect. It is an imposing structure with some 80,000m² of office space.
In June 2007, the owners appointed EVC to project manage the redevelopment of the ground floor areas. Harry Seidler & Associates (HSA) were commissioned to explore options for the design of a staged upgrade program and, together with EVC, evolved a spectacular design for an enclosed and integrated main office tower lobby, lift lobbies and food court including extensive works to the main entry points of the building. The project involved creating a place for people to relax and enjoy food and beverages, hold informal business meetings, or just soak up the relaxing atmosphere.
The key features of the redevelopment included:
Value: $30 Million
Client: Investa, CIC, Arcadia
Architect: Harry Seidler & Associates
